Hey guys, I’m back! All the while I had been busy with some other aspects of life:) As you know it, my life is a huge scrapbook and sometime it keeps me occupied like anything. Even when I’m not doing anything, I just think. And fragments of endless thoughts engulf me. All this time, I’ve thought a lot; and now I really need a B-R-E-A-K!

Today, unlike my other posts, I wouldn’t come up with an issue and pen down my thoughts ’bout that. Lets talk ’bout something down to earth, something more commonplace… Well, I had been investigating ’bout something interesting. In the realm of professionalism, the employees have to abide by something called ETIQUETTES. These ETIQUETTES are NOT a part of your contract with the company. There are not mentioned anywhere in your appointment letter. But it is something you should be knowing while you are on job. Here’s a snapshot of some of them.

Rules to be followed by employees

  • Diplomacy(being replaced by hypocrisies) is the rule of thumb. Anyone not learning it fast is free to leave
  • You should report in time as specified in contract but the departure time could be extended.
  • Giving interview in some other company is a heinous crime despite the fact you are born in democratic country. When you are working for us, you are a citizen of our company, the rule of the country no more applies.
  • The company has hired you when there were projects and needed resources. Now when the projects are less, its your responsibility to snatch one, else you are just out!
  • Lunch breaks are compulsory obligations, try keeping it as minimum possible
  • Meetings are actually meant for relaxation; waste as much time possible. Discuss as many issues you want to even if there’s none.
  • Orkut! What on the earth is it? Well it is fun when run on proxy :)
  • Finally, the one that bugs me the most! Ladies in general have to work more than their male colleagues. Men can relax as they have a fag. You cant!
